The client, an end-to-end solutions provider for brands focused on customer acquisition and retention and has entered the mortgage market through the strategic acquisition of Best Rate Referrals (BRR). The client wanted to consolidate the two separate Salesforce Orgs and migrate their data from all standard and custom objects to the BRR org.

The key challenges were:

  • Change in the metadata in target org to accommodate data from source org
  • Automations requirements
  • Re-configure the Security settings for all users
  • Migrate all data from source org to target org

Founded in 2005, Best Rate Referrals is an award-winning mortgage marketing firm that offers a variety of lead generation solutions and works with some of the top brands within the mortgage industry.

As a result of this acquisition, Best Rate Referrals is now able to tap into the comprehensive suite of the client resources, comprised of full-service creative, marketing and media solutions, to serve their current and future mortgage clients better.

Solution from Bolt Today

The client wanted to consolidate the two separate Salesforce orgs, and migrate all the data present into the target BRR org.

Bolt Today team designed and implemented the solution as below:

  • Delete few installed packages which the client that were no longer required in the new target org (BRR)
  • Metadata changes in target org
  • Migrate to using a Process builder to accommodate different Workflow Rules on the same object
  • Create new users, Permission Sets, fine-tune OWD settings, and sharing rules in target org
  • Migrate the data in Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Tasks, Campaign, Campaign Members, etc. from the client org to BRR org
  • Merge the custom objects data from the client to BRR
